Permission from freeholder

If you want to rent out a leasehold property you should check the details of your lease.

Some leases specifically prohibit the leaseholder from renting the property out, insisting that only the leaseholder and their family are allowed to occupy the property.

Some leases will require the landlord to register details of their tenants with the freeholder/management company. If any permissions are required then there is likely to also be an administration fee payable for the permission.
